DIET SHEIKHUPUR

The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Sheikhupur (Kapurthala) was established in 1989 under NPE-1986. Earlier there was Government Janta College at the same place imparting JBT course for primary teachers. It is situated on Kapurthala-Sultanpur lodhi Road at 5 Km stone from the city centre. This Institute works under Department of Education, Govt. of Punjab and is affiliated to State Council Of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) Punjab.

District Institute of Education and Training Sheikhupur (Distt. Kapurthala, Punjab), a premier Institute of teacher education in Punjab. We work under the guidance of State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Punjab. We not only take measure of the educational needs and requirements in our Distt. Kapurthala, we have contributed to the state programmes and projects like Curriculum development and Action Research etc. as well. We proudly specialize in Action Research, content generation and publication. Our students are imparting their teaching services in most of the districts in Punjab and we are proud of their achievements too.
